Bringing Back My Bedtime Balance
There was a time when I left my phone in the living room at night.
No endless scrolling. No snooze button chaos. No waking up already behind.
Instead, I’d drift off with a sleep meditation and wake up feeling… lighter. Calmer. Like there was more space to ease into the day instead of rushing headfirst into it.
And then, somewhere along the way, that habit slipped. (Midnight rabbit holes, anyone? 👀)
The mornings got more frantic. My sleep less restful. My nervous system quietly frayed at the edges.
It’s funny how the smallest rituals hold us steady.
So with the New Moon in Virgo, Mabon’s turning of the wheel, and Libra season inviting balance, I’m bringing it back.
Because the truth is: balance doesn’t usually come from grand, sweeping changes. It comes from these everyday choices that ripple out into how we feel.
The Lunar Check-In Flow
Here’s how I’m reframing this simple habit through the lens of the moon:

How do I want to feel? Balanced + rested.

What’s one step I can take? Leave my phone in the living room.

What can I celebrate? More mornings that start with breath, not a buzz.

What will I let go of? The illusion that scrolling is “relaxing.”
A Gentle Invitation
Maybe balance doesn’t require a massive lifestyle overhaul.
Maybe it starts with one small shift.
For me, it’s where I leave my phone at night.
